Temporarily Change the Default Printer Queue for all eForms and Laser Forms in CDK
Purpose
This article guides individual users through temporarily changing their default Laser Formq in CDK. This is useful if:
- You’re working from a different office temporarily.
- Your regular printer is down and you’re using another.
- You are a floater who logs in from different workstations and need nearby printer access.
Note: The changes made using this method are temporary. Once you log out of your desktop session, the default Laser Formq will return to its original setting.
Steps to Temporarily Change Laser Formq
- Inside CDK Drive, click the Launch icon on the right sidebar and select the DMS Connection button.
- At the User Security Menu (USM) screen, press
F3
to access the menu. - Go to the Defaults tab and press
ENTER
. - In the Defaults window, arrow down to the Laser Formq option.
- You have two options:
- If you know the form queue name: Type in the new Laser Formq name, then skip to step 7.
- If you don’t know the form queue name: Press
F1
to display a list of available form queues. Highlight the one you want to use, then pressENTER
.
- You’ll be returned to the Defaults window with the new queue filled in.
- Press
F3
to save your changes and return to the menu.
Important Notes
- This change is temporary and applies only to your current session.
- Once you log out, your original default printer settings will be restored.
